Alleged video pirate waives hearing

Curtis Bynon, of RR2, Meshoppen, appeared before Magisterial District Judge Carl Smith.
He is charged with six counts of trademark counterfeiting and 45 counts of criminal attempt trademark counterfeiting.
According to police, Bynon agreed to provide an undercover police officer with 45 pirated DVD movies in exchange for a ride to Lancaster, where he planned to exchange pirated movies for fitness equipment that he won on EBay.
Bynon remains free on $5,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled for arraignment on Jan. 9 in the Wyoming County Court of Common Pleas.
