Tiger boys remain unbeaten

The Tunkhannock Area boys’ cross country remained unbeaten on Wednesday with three wins at Kirby Park while the girls’ team went 2-1.

Tunkhannock’s boys took a 25-33 win over Holy Redeemer, a 16-46 win over Coughlin and a 15-50 win over Wyoming Seminary, while the girls’ team faced a 22-35 loss to Holy Redeemer, took a 15-50 win over Coughlin and a 16-46 win over Sem.

The Tiger boys’ team was paced by a fourth place finish for Jack Tidball at 17:02, while Lake-Lehman’s Kieran Sutton took first at 16;37.

Tiger Alex Nole took sixth at 17:29, Carson Ayers placed seventh at 17:32 and Ben Siegel took eighth at 17:35.

Also helping the Tigers out were Jake Toczko in 11th at 18:12, John Loomis in 12th at 18:24, James Proulx in 15th at 18:37 and Nick Ide in 16th at 18:37.

Other Tiger finishers included Robert Nast (27th-19:33), Justin Stonier (34th-20:12), Sam Kelly (35th-20:13), Joey Moffitt (42nd-20:56), Jake Sickler (45th-21:08), Kyle Shupp (46th-21:09), Joe Fiore (57th-22:55), Brandon Emmett (58th-22:57), Jason Linden (62nd-24:17), Angelo Marruzzelli (68th-25:49) and Colin Franko (69th-25:51).

On the girls’ side, Maggie Toczko paced the Tigers finishing third overall at 19:43, while Rachel Sowinski of Holy Redeemer took first at 19:22.

Tiger Erin Rome placed fifth at 21:50, Lexi Prebola took sixth at 22:10, Taylor Schultz placed 13th at 23:39, Sam Frear took 14th at 23:41 and Nicole Hunt finished 17th at 24:31.

Also helping the Lady Tigers were Maggie Elias in 21st at 26:09, Megan Manglaviti in 25th at 26:41, Lindsey Heck in 26th at 26:54 and Desiree Flaherty in 27th at 26:59.

Tunkhannock Area’s boys team improved to 14-0, while the girls’ team stands at 10-4.
