After three weeks of travel, the two Canadian Pacific Holiday Trains have completed their seasonal trek. And reports indicate this year’s campaign is among the most successful in the program’s 14-year history.
The 2012 Canadian Pacific Holiday Train program raised more than $1 million and gathered 400,000 pounds of food to distribute to food banks throughout North America.
The holiday train, which started in Scranton in late November and cruised through Wyoming and Susquehanna Counties en route to Binghamton, N.Y., and points beyond, is part of a program to raise money, food and awareness for food banks in more than 150 communities.
