Winter brings out the muscle in everyone. The outside acts as nature’s gymnasium.
However, sometimes people need a break from shoveling the snow during those long, frigid months.
Luckily, there are a few companies in the area which will cater to anyone’s worries of snow removal.
Vosburg Excavating, located off of Keelersburg Road south of Tunkhannock, has been helping the area plow snow for 27 years.
Owner Albert Vosburg said he has been helping the public and business owners clearing snow for years, and enjoys it because it keeps him busy throughout the winter months.
Vosburg Excavating is fully insured by Hawk Insurance group. Commercially, Vosburg said he can plow any size parking lot for any business. The price to plow a parking lot, depending on size, of course, is roughly around $155.
For the residential consumer, Vosburg said he can also plow any size driveway one might have. The average price for a smaller driveway is $75 and up for a larger driveway.

Another local entrepreneur is Ryan G. Brown, of Factoryville who in the warmer months specializes in everything dealing with sprucing up one’s yard. From cleanup to tree cutting, Brown can offer a lot for a customer.
“My work is based on the customer’s preferences,” Brown said. “It’s all about customer satisfaction.”
In the winter, Brown offers snow plowing for both commercial and residential. Brown can plow any size lot and any size driveway.
Prices start at $30 for a small size driveway, he said. For more information, phone 575-4819.
Another company is Neil’s Ground Maintenance. Located in Tunkhannock, this company has been removing snow since 2000.
Alyssa Nicholas, owner said that the business has been cleaning both residential and commercial places for years, but due to last year’s mild winter, the company has just been plowing commercial lots and sidewalks.
“Pricing depends on the type of lot we look at,” Nicholas said.
