Heading into the last match, Lackawanna Trail and Blue Ridge were vying for the team points title at the Zurn Bush Memorial Tournament on Saturday.

But the Lions overcame a 36-point deficit to edge Blue Ridge, 41-36, paced by pins from Cooper Rosiak at 152, Jeremy Greenley at 160, Zack Walters at 220 and Justin Barber at 285 to earn first place.

Lackawanna Trail went 5-0 on the day – its first five victories this season – with 212 points, while the Raiders, who placed second, went 3-2 with 206 points.

Lackawanna Trail finished out the tournament with wins over GAR (33-21), Sayre (36-30), Montrose (48-24), Elk Lake (54-16) and Blue Ridge (41-36).

“Today we came together as a team,” Lackawanna Trail coach Mike Petherick. “They’re capable. Everything just needs to be right.”

Vic Rosa, Rosiak and Walters all went undefeated for the Lions, with Walters beating two wrestlers he had fallen to in past matches.

Sayre, which placed third with 147 points, and GAR Memorial, fourth with 144 points, went 3-2. Scranton Prep (1-4) placed fifth with 159 points, Montrose (1-4) was sixth with 118 points and host Elk Lake (1-3) finished seventh with 98 points.

Zach Edwards led Blue Ridge at 138, going 5-0, while Troy Maby finished 3-1 at 126.

Isaiah Ofalt went 4-0 at 182 for Elk Lake, while Frank Delesky (138), Blaise Cleveland (160), Adam Curry (152) and Chris Warffle (195) all finished 3-1.
