CLINTON TWP. – Firefighters responded to an early morning fire at a pallet plant in Wyoming County.

Factoryville Fire Chief Brian Gow said an employee of Northern Pallet on Creek Road near Factoryville arrived at work around 6:45 a.m. to find one of its two warehouses on fire.

Chief Gow said that the building was a loss, but two forklifts inside were not damaged.

He said a fire marshal was on the scene later in the day and the cause of the fire was undetermined.

Gow noted that it appeared accidental and the fire mashal determined there was no sign of foul play.

The single digit weather created some minor issues for firetrucks, but there were no injuries, Gow said.

Factoryville Fire Company was assisted at the scene by Nicholson, Triton (of Tunkhannock), Lake Carey, Carbondale and Hop Bottom.

Gow said the scene was cleared shortly after noon.
