Lions spike Sabers, Foresters
The Lackawanna Trail boys’ volleyball team grabbed a 3-1 win over Forest City on the road on Thursday after it picked up a 3-1 victory over Susquehanna in a Lackawanna League matchup on Tuesday night.
Against the Foresters, the Lions won the first two matches, 29-27 and 25-23, before facing a 25-23 loss in the third.
However, Trail came back to take a 27-25 win in the fourth set to seal the win.
Devin Walsh had 19 kills, 10 blocks, 16 digs and 12 points and Ryan Dill had 16 points and 13 assists to lead the Lions.
Aidan Holmes added 14 kills, four blocks and 14 assists.
On Tuesday, Susquehanna picked up a victory in the first set, 25-12, but Lackawanna Trail won the next three, 25-23, 25-22 and 25-17 to complete the victory.
Devin Walsh had 15 kills, 13 digs and two blocks and Aidan Holmes had nine kills, nine digs and three blocks to lead the Lions.
Matthew Huertas had 12 points and an ace for the Lions.
