EMO hosts paddle trips

Endless Mountain Outfitters is currently offering Thursday evening open paddle trips for anyone interested in venturing down the Susquehanna River.
Those interested must call ahead for reservations.
Paddlers will meet at Riverside Park at 5:30 p.m. and head by vehicle to the North Branch Land Trust’s Howland Preserve near Camp Lackawanna at Vosburg before beginning their roughly 6-mile journey down the river.
David Buck, who coordinates the trips for Endless Mountain Outfitters, said paddlers should dress accordingly and be ready for a good time.
“We’ll be talking about the Howland Preserve and taking in the sights of nature as we go,” Buck said. “We usually will see eagles on our trips and it’s very comforting to be out on the water.”
The trip down the river usually runs for about two hours, depending on the river level at the time.
Limited space is available for boats so the trips are a first come, first served event.
Boats and life jackets will be available, as well as instructions on how to ride. The trips are scheduled to run until the third week of August, but may be subject to change.
