TA cross country sweeps at meet
The Tunkhannock boys’ and girls’ cross country teams both took three wins over Holy Redeemer, Wyoming Seminary and Coughlin last Wednesday.
The Tigers won 18-45 over Holy Redeemer, 15-48 over Wyoming Seminary and 21-40 over Coughlin to remain undefeated.
Dominic Hockenbury won first place overall and led the hosts at 16:25 before Jack Tidball of the Tigers finished at 17:02.
Carson Ayers finished fourth overall for Tunkhannock at 17:53, followed by Jacob Toczko in sixth (18:09), John Loomis in eighth (18:14), Ben Siegel in ninth (18:24), Justin Stonier in 12th (18:40) and Joey Moffitt in 14th (19:03) to round out the Top 20.
Other Tigers to finish included Brandon Emmitt in 21st (20:09); Alan Grow in 23rd (20:17); Sam Kelly in 25th (20:30); Marquis Gough in 27th (20:43); John Shebby in 32nd (21:13); Joe Fiore in 33rd (21:17); Chris Bach in 35th (21:27); Colin Franko in 38th (22:47); Alex Clark in 43rd (23:28); and Alex Kidd in 53rd (28:16).
The Lady Tigers beat Holy Redeemer 18-43, Wyoming Seminary 19-39 and Coughlin 15-50 in their sweep.
Maggie Toczko was the top finisher and led Tunkhannock at 19:42 and was closely followed by teammate Erin Rome in second at 20:36.
Also in the Top 20 for the Lady Tigers was Morgan Manglaviti in sixth at 21:59; Lexi Prebola in eighth (22:37); Taylor Schultz in 11th (23:31); Sam Frear in 14th (23:58); Nicole Hunt in 15th (24:07) and Autumn Frost in 17th (24:24).
Other Lady Tigers to finish included Lindsay Heck in 22nd (25:04); Megan Hayward in 23rd (25:04); Cheyanne Kasmierski in 25th (25:35); Megan Manglaviti in 26th (25:41); and Maggie Elias in 27th (26:23).
