The Nicholson Heritage Association will hold a public meeting on January 23 to unveil and discuss the historic structure feasibility study of the former Delaware, Lackawanna and Western Railroad’s Station in Nicholson.

With an Endless Mountains Heritage Region grant through the state Department of Conservation and Natural Resources, the Association takes its first step to rehabilitating the station into a community center for residents to gather, and a visitor’s center and gateway to the Viaduct Valley Way Scenic Byway to promote tourism.

Facility Design and Development of Scranton and The Institute for Public Policy & Economic Development, also of Scranton, worked on the study together with the Association.

The public is invited to attend this meeting that will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Jan. 23 at St. Patrick’s Church in Nicholson on Main and High Streets.
