Debra Raimondi, Wyoming County’s 911 director has been terminated, County Commissioner Tom Henry announced last week.
Henry said the commissioners had met with Raimondi and told her she was only allowed two weeks personal leave, but chose to take longer.
“That was not acceptable for us, as we have been trying to implement a new CAD system,” Henry said, and needed all hands on deck in the office.
The decision apparently had been made prior to the July 15 Wyoming County Commissioners meeting.
However, Henry said they forgot to bring it up during the formal meeting, and was making a statement to clear the air.
On Thursday, Henry said no timetable had been set for filling the director’s vacancy,. He noted that the commissioners were in the midst of examining the staffing needs of the department.
Raimondi was hired in January 2006 by Wyoming County.
