A Meshoppen man is the winner of $1 million in the Pennsylvania Lottery.

Lottery officials confirmed Tuesday that Bernard Ostrowsky was a big winner  with an instant ticket purchased at RJ's Food Mart in Meshoppen.

According to lottery spokesperson Kirstin Alvanitakis, Ostrowsky's winning ticket was from the "$275 Million Cash Extravaganza" game. She noted that tickets for that particular game have been on sale since 2005, and it is unusual for a game to last this long without all the top prizes being won.

RJ's Food Mart is the same store that sold a $21 million winning ticket to Geri Mokris of Meshoppen in 2000.
