The Tunkhannock Area girls' basketball team took a 45-37 loss to the Crestwood Comets on the road on Thursday night.
In the first quarter, Crestwood established an early lead going 14-9 over the Tigers, before Tunkhannock closed the gap going 10-5 over the Comets to make it 19 apiece at the half.
After the break, the Comets got ahead with an 11-10 quarter over the Tigers in the third before sealing the game with a 15-8 run over Tunkhannock in the fourth.
Jenna Downs led the Tigers with 12 points while Alison DeWitt and Lisa Kintner each scored six and Tiff Rule added five for Tunkhannock.
