In a game that began on May 2 and saw only four at bats, Elk Lake would fall to Blue Ridge on May 8, 13-12 at home.

There were more than 40 plate appearances by both teams in the game, and Elk Lake would battle in the bottom of the seventh but come up one run short.

Lynda Lawrence had two triples and four RBIs for Elk Lake. Tamara Voda had three hits, including a triple, two runs and three RBIs.

Allana Warner sat down four Raiders with strikes, but gave up eleven hits in the loss.

The Lady Warriors would get back on the field Monday night at Carbondale,

Lawrence had a double and a home run, two runs and five RBIs to lead Elk Lake to a Division III-IV crossover win, 16-4.

Samantha Hunsinger had three hits, including a double, two runs and three RBIs for the Lady Warriors.

The game ended after Elk Lake put up ten runs in the sixth, putting them over the ten run rule.

Warner went the distance in the game without surrendering a walk and striking out five.

Elk Lake’s softball record stands at 5-7.
