The Lackawanna Trail girls basketball team suffered a 56-47 loss at Mountain View in its first Division 4 game of the season on Monday night.

With the loss, the Lady Lions dropped to 1-7 overall.

Trail took control in the early going, pulling out to a 13-9 lead heading into the second quarter, but Mountain View responded by outscoring its opponent 17-12 to lead 26-25 at the half.

It was the Lady Lions who then responded in the third to retake the lead by two, but the Lady Eagles turned things on in the final quarter with 18 points while also holding Trail to just seven for the win.

Senior Lexie Kwiatkowski scored 15 points to lead Trail and senior Allison Decker chipped in with 10 points in the loss.
