Playing Thursday in a twice rescheduled game, Adam Martin scored five times and dished out three assists while Jaxson Montross added three goals as the home team Tigers defeated Coughlin, 12-2.

It was both teams’ opening game of the Wyoming Valley Conference boys lacrosse season. Tunkhannock also had goals by Aidan Brown (2), Brad Martin, and Bryden Huff. Montross, Martin, and Mike Casey also recorded assists.

Starting goalie Sergey Montross had 12 saves, and Levi Westfield added five of his own.

Brendan Kelley had both of Coughlin’s goals.

On Friday, at Crestwood, Michael Casey, Izaiah Simon, Trae Cole, and Aidan Brown each scored for the Tigers, who lost 16-4.

Crestwood remains undefeated in Wyoming Valley Conference play.
