The Elk Lake boys basketball team improved to 4-4 overall with a 58-39 nonleague win over Sayre on Saturday.

With the win, the Warriors evened out their record to 4-4 overall and have won their last four games.

The game headed into the second quarter tied at 12 before Elk Lake took control, outscoring Sayre 18-6 to lead by a dozen at the half.

The Warriors kept their foot on the gas in the third, scoring 15 points and holding their opponent to just five to put the game away.

Senior Rierdan Reyan led Elk Lake with 24 points, while junior Hunter Bomboy chipped in with 14.
